The creative industries:
Defined by the Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport
as
including advertising, architecture, visual arts, crafts, design, film and
video, music, performing arts, publishing, software and computer services,
TV and radio - are seen nationally as an exciting growth sector and
expanding area of employment.
Research by Staffordshire University shows that Stafford Borough currently
has at least 500 creative businesses, making a significant contribution to
the local economy. Culturegen aims to develop this emerging sector, in
partnership with local and regional agencies.
